Terms of Use for Solara

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Solara, a mobile application operated by Helvet Studios LLC (“Helvet Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using Solara, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Solara.

Solara is offered through the Apple App Store. Your use of Solara may also be subject to Apple’s App Store terms, policies, and payment rules.

1. About Solara

Solara is an affirmation and reflection app that uses astrology-based profile information, including celestial signs and chart placements, to provide affirmation content, daily reflection tools, notifications, and related wellness-inspired features.

Solara is designed for reflection, inspiration, entertainment, and general wellness purposes only. Solara is not a medical, mental health, psychological, crisis support, financial, legal, or professional advice service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Solara.

If you are under the age of majority in your state, province, or country, you may use Solara only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using Solara, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Solara is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a user is under 13, we may delete or disable the account and associated data, subject to applicable law.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has used Solara or provided personal information to us, please contact us at contact@helvetstudios.com.

3. Accounts and Sign-In

To use certain features of Solara, you may need to create an account or sign in using Apple Sign-In, email sign-in, or another supported authentication method.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device. You agree not to provide false account information, impersonate another person, or use another person’s account without permission.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account.

4. Astrology and Personalization

Solara may use information you provide, such as your birth date, birth time, birth location, selected signs, affirmation goals, and app preferences, to personalize your experience.

Premium features may include a fuller celestial chart, including placements such as Sun, Moon, Rising, Mercury, Venus, and Mars signs. Astrology calculations may depend on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.

You understand and agree that:

Astrology content is for entertainment, reflection, and inspiration only.
Solara does not guarantee that astrology calculations, placements, interpretations, or affirmations are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Incorrect or incomplete birth date, birth time, or birth location information may affect astrology-based features.
Solara should not be used to make medical, mental health, financial, legal, relationship, safety, or other important life decisions.

Solara may use a third-party astrology service, including Astrology API, to calculate certain astrology placements. Birth information may be sent server-side to this provider for calculation purposes.

5. Wellness and Crisis Disclaimer

Solara provides affirmation, reflection, inspiration, and wellness-oriented content. Solara does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition and does not replace professional care.

Solara is not therapy, counseling, medical care, mental health care, crisis support, or emergency support.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, thoughts of harming others, or any situation where you may be in danger, contact emergency services, a crisis hotline, or a qualified professional immediately. Do not rely on Solara for urgent help.

6. User Content

Solara may allow you to create, enter, or store personal content, such as journal entries or daily intentions (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content. By entering User Content into Solara, you grant us only the limited rights necessary to operate the app and provide the features you use.

Journal entries are stored locally on your device and are not designed to be read by Helvet Studios. Helvet Studios does not monitor, review, or access your journal entries in the ordinary operation of the app.

You are responsible for the User Content you create. You agree not to use Solara to create, store, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.

When you delete your account data through the app, locally stored journal entries and account-associated Solara data may be deleted as part of that process, depending on your device, app state, and applicable technical limitations.

7. Subscriptions and Paid Features

Solara may offer free features and paid premium features.

Premium features may include, but are not limited to:

Moon and Rising daily affirmation feeds
A full 6-sign celestial chart
Home screen widgets
Notifications from multiple signs
Enhanced cosmic profile features
Additional personalization or affirmation experiences

The exact features available in the free and premium versions may change over time. We may add, modify, limit, replace, or discontinue features, provided that we will not intentionally misrepresent the subscription offering at the time of purchase.

8. Subscription Plans, Trials, and Founder Offers

Solara may offer subscription plans, including:

Monthly subscription: $7.99/month
Yearly subscription: $49.99/year
Limited Founder Pack yearly subscription: $34.99/year, available to eligible early users, such as the first 1,000 users, subject to availability

Solara may offer a 2-week free trial for eligible yearly subscriptions. Trial availability, pricing, eligibility, and duration may vary and will be shown at the time of purchase.

The Founder Pack is a limited promotional subscription offer. If you cancel a Founder Pack subscription, you will lose access to premium features at the end of the applicable subscription period, and the Founder Pack price or offer may not be available again.

All prices, trial terms, renewal terms, and subscription details shown in the App Store purchase flow control over any inconsistent information in these Terms.

9. Apple Payments, Renewal, Cancellation, and Refunds

All Solara subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Helvet Studios does not collect or store your credit card number, debit card number, banking information, or full payment details.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through your Apple ID or App Store subscription settings before the renewal date.

You are responsible for managing and canceling your subscription through Apple. Deleting the Solara app, deleting your Solara account, or deleting your Solara data does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription.

Refunds, billing issues, payment disputes, and subscription cancellation requests are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies. Helvet Studios cannot guarantee refunds and does not control Apple’s refund decisions.

If you delete your Solara account or data while you have an active subscription, Solara may warn you that your subscription must be canceled separately through Apple.

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your account and associated Solara data inside the app by going to:

Account tab → Settings → Delete Data

Account deletion removes your account and associated Solara data from our active systems, except for information we may retain where legally required or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, subscription records, or legitimate business purposes.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription. You must cancel active subscriptions through Apple.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Solara. You may not:

Violate any applicable law or regulation
Use Solara if you are under 13
Provide false, misleading, or unauthorized account information
Access or use another person’s account without permission
Share, sell, transfer, or resell premium access in an unauthorized way
Attempt to bypass subscription restrictions or payment systems
Copy, scrape, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit Solara’s affirmations, content, design, code, branding, or features without permission
Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, tamper with, or attempt to extract Solara’s source code, except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law
Interfere with Solara’s security, servers, APIs, or infrastructure
Use automated systems, bots, scripts, or scraping tools to access Solara
Upload, create, store, or transmit unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, infringing, or otherwise objectionable content
Use Solara to harm, threaten, harass, exploit, or mislead others

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Solara if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the app, created risk for Helvet Studios or others, or engaged in fraud, abuse, or unlawful conduct.

12. Intellectual Property

Solara, including its name, branding, design, interface, features, affirmations, text, artwork, software, code, databases, and other content, is owned by Helvet Studios LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Solara for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, reproduce, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit Solara or its content without our written permission.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Solara or any Helvet Studios intellectual property to you.

13. Third-Party Services

Solara may rely on third-party services to operate certain features, including authentication, backend infrastructure, subscription management, astrology calculations, push notifications, and App Store payments.

These third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, and practices. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

Your use of Apple services, including the App Store, Apple ID, Apple payments, Apple subscriptions, and Sign in with Apple, is governed by Apple’s applicable terms and policies.

14. Privacy

Your use of Solara is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at:

Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, store, and share information.

15. App Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue Solara, or any part of Solara, at any time. We may also release bug fixes, updates, new features, or changes to existing features.

We do not guarantee that Solara will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating system version.

Some features may depend on internet access, third-party services, Apple services, device settings, notification permissions, subscription status, or other factors outside our control.

16. Disclaimers

Solara is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Helvet Studios disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, and uninterrupted operation.

We do not warrant that:

Solara will meet your expectations
Solara will produce any particular emotional, wellness, personal, spiritual, or life outcome
Astrology calculations or interpretations will be accurate or complete
Affirmations will be suitable for every user or situation
Solara will be available without interruption or error
Solara will be free from bugs, vulnerabilities, or harmful components

You use Solara at your own discretion and risk.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Helvet Studios LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, lost profits, loss of goodwill, emotional distress, personal injury, device issues, service interruptions, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use Solara.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Solara or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

The amount you paid to Helvet Studios through Solara during the three months before the claim arose; or
$50

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

18. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Helvet Studios LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to:

Your use or misuse of Solara
Your violation of these Terms
Your User Content
Your violation of any law or third-party right
Your fraud, misconduct, or unauthorized activity

19. Termination

You may stop using Solara at any time. You may also delete your account and associated data through the app.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Solara at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, misused Solara, engaged in fraud or abuse, or if we are required to do so by law.

Termination of your Solara account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through Apple.

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute-related provisions.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles.

You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or Solara will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by posting the updated Terms, updating the effective date, or providing notice in the app where appropriate.

Your continued use of Solara after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using Solara.
