An independent software studio.
Helvet Studios LLC is a small software company that designs, builds, and operates mobile applications. We work primarily on iOS, and we take responsibility for the whole product — the interface, the services behind it, and everything App Store review asks for before it goes live.
What we work on
Most of what we build falls into one of two categories. The first is client work: a company has a product idea, or an existing app that needs to be rebuilt properly, and we take it through design, engineering, and release. The second is our own catalogue — applications we design, ship, and support ourselves, which is where Solara comes from.
Building our own products keeps us honest about the parts of software that are easy to hand off and forget: subscription billing, account deletion, push notification permissions, privacy disclosures, and the long tail of support requests that arrive after launch. We do that work on our own apps every week, so we know how to do it on someone else's.

Ship the whole thing
A feature isn't done when it renders. It's done when it handles the empty state, the error state, the slow network, and the user who deletes their account.
Own the data story
We decide what an app collects before we decide how it looks. Less data collected is less data to secure, disclose, and explain.
Small surface, long life
We prefer a small codebase we can still reason about in two years over a large one that was faster to write this month.
